I love this way of putting a list together, except where the tagging isn’t clear: what are #2, 4, and the last one?
The Art of Memory blog used to do this kind of thing all the time, and it could be maddening when I wanted to track down the films. Especially when I had some faint memory of knowing the source film. I actually love movies that take me to that feeling of itchy frustration and keep me there, even when _none_ of the images is likely one I’ve really seen.
Thanks Scott! I like leaving it personal in that the list is about rhyming images from my favorite films and I hope the list stands alone as a series of impressions more than recommendations (as it is a personal list, obviously, your mileage may vary)– but to answer you specifically– #2 is THE MEND by John Magary, #4 is HEAVEN KNOWS WHAT by Josh and Benny Safdie, and the last image is the final shot of PHOENIX by Christian Petzold which has the mother of all final scenes. Again, these are in no particular order, just playing with the flow of images… I kept original file names, but I could rename next time for Google Image matching.
